There has recently been private messages going around from random people with links in the messages.

NEVER click on unknown and suspicious links, especially if you don't know who it's from! Many links can cause viruses and the links that have been going around do and will.

If you've clicked a link, please change your password and scan your computer for viruses.

Remember to NEVER give anyone your username and password! Founders, admins, staff members, or any other members will NEVER ask you for your username and password.

If anyone requests for your username, password, or sends suspicious links to you-- please report their display name to us by PM or by posting in this thread. Thank you for your cooperation.

Questions, comments, concerns? Leave a post. smile.gif

If you have been sent a PM by users named "ForumTeam" or "ModeratorTeam," please DELETE IT. They are not part of the S4 team! If you are unsure, check to see if the user is actually staff on the forum by looking under their username. If they are in the group "Secret Agents," they are NOT staff members! Spammers and bots usually have 0 posts, so be aware of that.

Thanks & stay safe!

Clear
There has been many attacks on fan forums and forums in particular.

Whilst the staff do try to regulate the forums and remove these harmful individuals as best as we can, sometimes one do come through the barriers we have setup.

Please note this is the internet, and you are are able to get infected by those that want to harm. We would recommend you to exercise judgement before clicking a link someone has given you.

Do you know the person?
Why did they PM you and not anyone else?
Is it too good to be true?

These individuals target those that do not know about computers, so arm yourself with knowledge.

Antivirus:

AVG - http://free.avg.com/
avast! - http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Antispyware:

SUPERantispyare - http://www.superantispyware.com/
Windows Defender - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...er/default.mspx

Above are two reputable antivirus programs. You should have at least one antivirus and antispyware software on your computer to protect yourself from these threats.

Finally I would like to remind you that what you do on your computer is your right and not ours, so because of that we cannot have any responsibility for your actions.

/The above is for users of Windows OS as spammers target it... If you are using Linux you don't need to know this anyway and if you are using a Mac, GG no virus for you but if you think you didn't understand the difference between antivirus and antispyware then don't click links from people you don't know to be on the safe side!
